Hi, my Sonic connection in San Francisco is very very slow today, not really functional. Is anyone else having issues?

I am getting very poor or unsuccessful connections with some sites. Searching on Google works fine. Some websites work fine. Some will not connect. I am unable to use the speedtest tool, it always fails, as does the Google one. I can eventually connect to Bluesky, but none of the images appear. It makes me wonder if there is an issue with one of the CDNs, or our connection with it.

Having issues on some websites down in the Peninsula. Some websites are unaffected while others are slow or unresponsive

Same issue on the peninsula. Google, opendns and other services that have direct settlement-free peering with sonic are fine. Ipv6 everywhere is fine. Any ipv4 transit through sonic's paid upstream providers is failing since 5:30pm today.

No updates on sonicstatus. No email outage notification to their mailing list.

Definitely looks like something was going on with the peering. I see some traces now going through cogent (before it was level3).

When I talked to them about 6:15 they said everyone is down. They could not even access their tools.

I'm in San Francisco. Still having issues with slow speeds and no images on some sites. Started after 6pm and it's 10:30pm now.

If you are still experiencing connection issues, please contact support today by calling (707)-547-3400 or emailing support@sonic.com between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. so we can determine what issues you are encountering.

However, I hope most connection problems have been resolved and were likely related to an Upstream routing problem we encountered yesterday evening with one of our transit provider networks. We had posted about this on our Status page but we're sorry we couldn't get a response here sooner.
