Hi all.
Sonic is installed, we're ready to switch.
How do I do this?
Unplug Comcast from router and plug Sonic instead
Plug in Roku and install
For e-mail, everything should stay the same, right? I can still use my current e-mail addresses?

Thanks for any instructions.

Correct, assuming the Sonic technician checked the line and confirmed the bandwidth.

Assuming you formerly used Comcast TV and now wish to stream, that is correct. You probably also want to get a streaming service that does local channels, like YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling, Fubo, etc. Here are a couple of articles that provide reviews:

(Consider a web search on "reviews of tv streaming services with local channels").

Also, depending on your location, you may be able to receive the local channels with an HDTV antenna and use a streaming service without local channels (web search on "reviews of tv streaming services without local channels"

It depends on the email addresses. If you're using a service like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, and so forth, then yes. If you're using Comcast email, most likely, but discuss it with the Comcast representative when you cancel service. You will need to do that, or Comcast will continue to bill you.

When your sonic service is active, you will want to configure the wifi.
You could set it up to use the same ssid and shared pass key as comcast so your devices do not need anything. Or use whatever sonic uses and configure every wifi device to the new wifi. Wired devices will plug into the switch on the sonic device and will keep working. If you have services running on computers at your location, you may need to configure them on the sonic device (like port forwarding or dynamic dns update client)

For email, as virtual mike wrote, if you use a non-comcast email, everything will continue to work. If you had a comcast email, you will need to discuss with them if/how you can keep it. Sonic does provide you with an email account. You do not have to use it and keep internet access and email separate.

Explore the member service pages and get yourself familiarized with where the account management is; if you have voice service, you can install the voip client on your phone and pick up calls for that line on your phone or place calls including many overseas destinations free of charge. if you have voice service, also explore a UPS to keep your phone on in case of power outage; if you have a burglar/fire alarm, check how to connect it to sonic.
Explore the ancillary services like the fax line that lets you send and receive faxes through the web/email.

Welcome to sonic!
