That's great news @jerrielm! Hopefully nothing unexpected crops up between now and then (and I understand that is out of your control).

@sheilaf_182 - May is the timeframe we are predicting. Im not seeing any current delays here as well.
@sdnick484 - Several Delays here but it looks like May is our goal right now.
@rpineau - End of may as well. No current delays.

Here is some information i was able to get.
I appreciate the update. Looks like May slipped for me (tool is now saying June). Hopefully this summer.

We continue to wait for City approval there, they're holding up the project until some of the earlier safety bypass poles are removed. I think they don't trust that we'll take care of them unless they've got some leverage, and they're holding residents there hostage as a result. Just my own speculation, but this isn't typical in other cities where we build, and it's resulted in a lot of delay. Sorry about that!

That's good info; I wish I knew the hold up was on the city side a couple weeks ago when I was talking to Vice Mayor Obringer. Is there a target date on the bypass pole removal?

I just checked and yes, as of this post, I am still showing Feb 2024. I just checked my email history, and my original order was placed on 2/25/23 so if they hit February, it would have taken a full 12mo. Driving home from work today, I did see a Sonic truck at a residence on Mt. Diablo near the Concord BART so I still have (dwindling) hope.

I also agree with the sentiment expressed earlier in this thread - the communication thus far has been sparse and not a positive experience. I won't recommend Sonic to any of my friends until they can actually use the service or at least have hope of getting it soon. I had always heard such good things about Sonic so this is a bit disappointing. I understand a lot of this is beyond their span of control, but I think recruiting customers a year in advance is doing themselves a disservice.
I have been sitting at Aug. 2024 for a long time but just checked and now am showing Dec. 2024. :?

I am beginning to think that I will never get fiber installed. To add injury to insult, I did refer a friend and got an install date a week later.

However during installation it was deemed their house (inside lot of a tandem lot property) was too far from the street / pole to complete the installation.

At least I haven’t spent the money on upgrades for my router yet.

We're May 27th, I haven't heard anything from Sonic, so I guess the 'End of may' is not going to happen..

Hello! There is still a chance that we will start scheduling installations before then, but that window certainly is narrowing. I will closely monitor this and escalate with the project manager if the estimate is missed. We appreciate your patience throughout this whole process, and we look forward to setting you up with Fiber.

My date slipped to August; is this part of the city obstruction to bypass poles or a separate issue?
