Three weeks ago, my hard drive crashed and wiped out many files. The backup drive also crashed.

I have an old Mac Tower (Power Macintosh 8600/300) running System 9.1.

The most important damaged application is "MS Office 2001". I can't use WORD and EXCEL. The programs don't open (error 3, error -199, error 1,010, etc.), and clicking on the W. or E. files won't open the programs either.

Running Norton's "Disk Doctor", I saw the damaged two files (resource fork corrupted and should be removed).

The first of the two bad files is "Graph Chart Gallery (9)", 184 k.

The other is the one that stops the programs from opening: "Microsoft Office First Run", 3.2 MB, located within the "Office" folder. This is the one I need.

Because "MS Office 2001" was installed when I got the Mac, I don't have the Installer CD.

Does anyone have, or know anyone who has, "MS Office 2001" who can e-mail me the "Microsoft Office First Run" file and the less important "Graph Chart Gallery (9)" as an attachment? (aman@sonic.net)?

Thanks for any help or suggestion.

Thank you for trying, cataha, but I must use M$ Word.

I got Excel working again, but WORD is still corrupted.

Does anyone have a "MS Office 2001 for Mac" CD no longer needed?
