TRUMP is what happened, and his weasel FCC appointee, Ajit Pai.

Individual states are not allowed to set their own laws/policy about communications services in most cases, so we here in California are stuck with the national-level policies.

Wow this is really bad. it seems like there are very few locations now where I can get sonic now. Had I known this would be a problem when I had to move I would have been more involved. We are in some real trouble with internet service if there is only ATT/Comcast to chose from, both are involved in shady practices with their customer's traffic.
