I tried to use sonic mobile communicator on iPhone, then it popped up a message “you are not authorized to use this application.” I talked to service representative, still didn’t solve the problem.

Help!!

Thank you for reaching out regarding your attempt to access the Sonic Mobile Communicator.

I was able to look at your account, and you have Sonic Mobile Communicator enabled on the circuit, capable of utilizing the SMC.

My first assumption would be that either the Phone number as your username or the password was input incorrectly.

You can follow this link to complete the steps for accessing the SMC. https://help.sonic.com/hc/en-us/article ... mmunicator

I don't see any recent calls with our support team on the account. If you are still unable to access the SMC, please call our support line at (707)-547-3400 between 8 am and 10 pm, 7 days a week, to troubleshoot this in real-time.

I am also having this exact issue with SMC. I have had about 10 emails/back & forth, and one phone call w/ tech support on the issue. I am using an iphone SE (it's about 1 year old). I am using the Voip ph # as username, and i am using a unique pwd for SMC (ie NOT my sonic account pwd). I have changed that SMC password about 5 or more times now, in an effort to troubleshoot the question of 'am i using the wrong credentials'. i clearly am not, (i.e. i AM using the right credentials for SMC) verified by the tech person on the phone.
i also was told that none of my login attempts were visible on the back end. the ticket # is 7361550

the tech on the phone said he did not have back end access to the app, and forwarded to someone else at sonic, and suggested i bring this to the forums.

specifically, the error i'm getting is: login failed.
you are not authorized to use this application. contact your service provider to enable this service. with an 'ok' and an 'upgrade' button. when i click on either, it just returns me to the login page on the app.
so.....
