MUNI Permit for installation

Does anybody have experience waiting for a permit from SF before installation?

My apt in the outer richmond is near overhead muni lines and Sonic has applied for a permit to work near those lines before proceeding with a fiber drop. I'd prefer to wait for sonic vs go with AT&T (their lines are buried on my street, surprisingly) but the only timeline I've been given is that it could take "a few weeks." Just looking for some data points so I can adjust my expectations.

We can run into this issue when installing service near these lines. The reason for the unknown timeline is usually because the Transit Authority for your city has strict guidelines that we must abide by.

We also handle all MUNI permit/installation cases on a case-by-case basis since they are highly intricate and require multiple agencies for proper delivery.
