Current cost in Sunset SF (94122). Is 59.99 + fees (77.61) the lowest?

I've been a customer since 1GB became available. Seems that 10GB is not yet available at my address.

Current monthly charge for 1GB is $77.61 ($59.99 + tax and fees). Is there any way that I can lower that?

The Sonic website is (intentionally?) confusing. I can't find a way to see different home internet options or bundles, it only shows that I have Fusion 1Gbps and doesn't show a range of services (even if they are not available to me). It also says I can request an upgrade to 10Gbps for a $299 charge (when it happens) but doesn't show what the monthly options would be available after that.

So, can anyone give me some info? Is there a way to pay less than $77.61 a month in 94122? I don't rent a router/gateway from Sonic.

Unless you can tell the government about the BS fees, no. Isn't this price comparable to the competition?

- No data caps
- 1 Gbps up/down
- Supporting a local co.

Interesting. I hadn't thought to compare to AT&T or others. ATT is asking $60 a month for 1GB; fees would be lower since no voice. They are also offering a $200 gift card with the service. My mobile service is ATT so qualify for this plan.

But, I am looking to stay with Sonic and to see how I could spend less (than the current $931 a year after the price increase earlier this year). I understand that 10GB has a lower cost option without voice (and the fees Sonic is therefore allowed to collect), but it was not available for 1GB customers. So, I am asking to see if anyone has a suggestion.
