Dear users,Admin

Options
for you Because
you
can't drill new connections in to the building.

Their are adapters that can reuse
existing coax cables
to connect a cat 5 link.

one possible option
Amazon
ScreenBeam Bonded MoCA 2.0 Network Adapter for High Speed Internet, Ethernet Over Coax - Single Add-On Adapter for Existing MoCA Network (Model: ECB6200S02)

item example listed
Most likely you will need the starter kit.
Good Luck

Hello,

If you are inquiring about our fiber optic service, we couldn't use this method due to the limitation of coax bandwidth capacity. Any section that ran through coax will be a severe "bottleneck" and would limit the speed you get in the end, unfortunately. It would be best to use 100% Fiber line to ensure you get what you are actually paying for in the end. We hope this information helps. Take care.

To readers,admin

compared to comcast up speed
under 100 MB
more like under 10 Mbps
Any option
even cat5 to power line adapter
Beets them
After fiber enters the building.

Even 90 MB up & down
Per room
without limitations
is more kind

Coax adapters
can do under 100 Megs
new ones might do better.

good luck

Any software engineers decipher what this dude is trying to say?! Types in code, no complete sentences, his own version of haiku.

It's a hardware problem. 8-)

On a serious note, fiber and coax are physically and electrically incompatible entry methods; fiber is not conductive, and coax doesn't pass light.

Perhaps he has been told (by a landlord?) that he is not allowed to have fiber installed because it will require drilling into the building? Or he's offering it as a solution to others?

Yes that first issue seems likely.

But fiber is totally different than coax, and Sonic only delivers fiber service. To try to use coax for our service would be like trying to use a phone wire to deliver TV.

Every home needs this new fiber infrastructure. A hole was drilled for coax for cable TV, now it’s time to drill a new one for fiber internet. These sort of new cabling infrastructures only come along once every half century, so building owners do not need to worry that it’ll happen again and again and again.
