What is the EBB?
Working in tandem with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the EBB program allows Sonic to offer discounts on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households. Sonic will participate in offering qualified households up to a $50/month discount on broadband service and associated equipment rentals through the EBB program.
Important Deadline: Eligible Sonic households that are enrolled in the EBB Program before December 30, 2021, will receive a $50 per month EBB Program discount until March 1, 2022. If you enroll after 12/30/21, you will be entered into the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) instead, which provides a $30 monthly discount. Note: All discounts will adjust to $30/month beginning March 1st, 2022. Hurry and enroll today!
How do I enroll?
The EBB program, as required by the FCC, is for DSL or Fiber customers only, with minimum speeds of 25Mbps. You must also qualify by confirming your eligibility through the FCC National Verifier. To qualify, a member of your household needs to complete the next steps:
1. Qualify for EBB: All interested Sonic members must complete the eligibility form found on the Federal National Verifier: https://www.checklifeline.org/lifeline/ ... &ebbp=true
2. Apply for EBB: once you've completed the eligibility form and confirmed that you've qualified, fill out the application in your Sonic Member Tools to enroll in the benefits program through Sonic. You will receive a status update within 48 hours of applying.
(After the conclusion of the EBB program, you will be billed at Sonic standard monthly prices, including any applicable taxes, fees, and equipment charges.)
