(Apologies if this has been covered in another thread or on the wiki.)

I'm wondering if my @sonic.net email address can be used like a gmail account in sending mail as another account. Put another way, can I send email as [email protected]? Like what's described here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=en

In this example, mydomain.com is a domain registered with another service before I knew about Sonic's hosting services. I see the "Reply To" setting under Identies, but that only seems to work if I send email through the webmail page, and not, for example, Mail on macOS.

Thanks!

It turns out this isn't a Sonic question. It's a Mail question. Posting this for anyone else that might come across this in the future: https://john.do/send-mail-as/

I've not found a way to retrieve email from other services, but you can send with non-Sonic addresses.

In Webmail, Settings > Identities. You can create as many identities as you would like, and you can enter the associated email address that goes.

If you're reading email and want to reply, Webmail will reply with the correct identity.

If you wish to do so through a separate mail client, it depends on the capabilities of that program. For example, I use Thunderbird, and I can configure whatever email addresses I would like for sending/receiving email. In my case, I have each address with its own inbox in T-bird, but I can configure it such that everything goes into a single inbox.
