I switched back over to supernews.sonic.net today because news.sonic.net is down again. (Ahem, Kelsey...
)
I have a couple of entries in a universal killfile, and then group-specific killfiles in quite a few groups. Supernews is taking forever to process the latter. Some of the groups are taking a few minutes before a list of available postings is displayed. The situation is better when I make a subsequent pass through my newsgroups, presumably because there are fewer postings to evaluate at that point.
Last time this happened, a few weeks ago, I don't recall that news.sonic.net was similarly slow when I switched back to that. I'll check that again when (if?) it comes back. But I think this slowness is specific to supernews. Any ideas why?
