Odd "outgoing" calls to blacklisted IRS scam??

I just happened to notice around a dozen outgoing calls like this in my phone record.

Googled the number and it's an IRS scammer. Puzzled why these show up as outgoing calls from our landline, I'm sure we're not calling them. All just a few seconds long. I'm guessing it's a recordkeeping hiccup or Sonic checking a number somehow? I don't think we have a demon hiding in our telephone trying to dial out to scammers. Anyone else see something like this as outgoing calls?

Those outbounds are the system reporting back to Sonic that there was an inbound call from a phone number on our blocklist. In the call logs you'll notice an Incoming call at the exact same time and with the exact same duration as the outbound. That Incoming call was blocked and the Outbound was the report back to us.
