Kodi Kore Remote Help

Hey guys im i've been trying to connect my phone to my computer to use as a remote on Kodi but it hasn't been letting me.Im pretty sure it has to do with my router's firewall. I got the PACE 5268AC. This modem/router doesn't let me disable the firewall for some reason. Any help guys??

You probably have to forward the port that the Kodi Remote webserver service uses (usually its 80 or 8080 but its recommended to use a custom port for security reasons). Also make sure the webserver service is activated in Kodi.

I don't have the Pace but you may want to look at the firewall section for forwarding setting.

edit: also if Kodi is running on Windows, you may have to allow Kodi.exe in Windows firewall.
