I sent a fax using Send a Fax on 11/6 and today 11/12 received a email saying the fax was successfully sent.
I need to find out whether the fax was sent on 11/6 or was sent today, or some time in between.
Please reply and suggest a private way I can get my user id to you.

Have you checked the fax log at member tools? Navigate to the place where you send a fax, but instead of sending, click the link "View Sent Faxes."

I have already looked at the fax log. It recorded the datetime of the upload. There is not a separate datetime listed for the send.

OIC. Mine have always been sent when uploaded.

People at Sonic support said you would have access to more information. Can you get the time the fax was actually sent, or explain why the email notifying me of sending arrived in my inbox 6 days after I uploaded the fax?

The fax server that queued up the upload on Nov 6th had a bad job stuck which caused faxes to be delayed until we were able to remove said stuck job and the messages that had backed up were able to deliver. Your fax was delivered at Nov 12 12:05:15. The status would have shown in-queue between the time you uploaded the fax to our server and the time when it was delivered but the time stamp on our log is representative of the time that you uploaded the file originally. I apologize for the delay and the confusion that the sent fax log caused.

Thanks,

I'm thinking the server might have got unstuck sooner if someone at sonic had known earlier. Next time I'll know to be looking for the sent confirmation email.
Perhaps I should contact sonic if I haven't received that confirmation within a few hours? If so, should I call tech support or submit a post on this forum?

No need, we have modified our alerting to catch this problem in the future. But please do keep in mind this is a labs feature meaning that tech support cannot assist with its' usage. Posting on this forum for help is the best way to get help with an issue with send-a-fax or faxline.
