I have a pair of firewalls (pfsense) that I am trying to setup for failover with CARP. The one thing I can't figure out how to do is fail over the IPv6. If it wasn't using a tunnel, the pfsense CARP implementation would do it for me, but it can only fail the interface not the tunnel itself.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to implement this? One thought was to have a pair of tunnels that are always up, but I don't see a way to get more than a single tunnel via. the web interface. I have tried binding the tunnel to the CARP interface on my end, but the tunnel doesn't re-establish when the interface moves between the firewalls.
