In regards to where can CGIs be run from? According to Sonic WiKi pages, the location of CGI programs is "/home/WWW_pages/username/ This is your default web directory, where your HTML and image files are likely to be located." OK, I setup CGI by logging into our company account, Member-Tools > Account > Manage-Directories > and clicked on "Create" button for CGI. Now using FileZila client FTP program, I log-in to our account. Under /nfs/httpd/ I see a cgi-bin folder, however no cgi-bin under /nfs/WWW_pages/ as WiKi says. So I manually created one under /WWW_pages/. Yet when I move my Perl program there and give it the right permissions (755), my html pages still cannot see it, and I get "The webpage cannot be found" error. It seems some how the cgi-bin that is created under /httpd/ is not mapped to any space within the web-page area. Please advise.
