Wireless Fiber

Hi,
This might sound like a stupid question, but couldn't Sonic have several access points with regular Fiber Optic cables and then have their customers use something like thishttp://www.ubnt.com/products/ to connect themselves. It seems like it would be a lot cheaper, and could be installed a lot more quickly. than if Sonic were to rewire and connect entire cities.

Bingo.

I've found that to be good at something, you really have to commit, to just one path. Wireless is one of those paths, and there are some providers that do a really great job at it. I've got a lot of respect for Softcom, WebPass and MonkeyBrains.

But we've chosen the wireline path. It is in some ways a much harder path, and in other ways easier. But in the end it leads to reliable fiber-based Gigabit service and beyond, so I think it's the right strategic decision.
