I call-forward faxes I receive to my Sonic Send-a-Fax phone number. It saves me a lot of paper and ink! However, I had a problem that I wonder if anyone else has experienced. One day in August (8/17/14 at 4:14 pm) one of our friends placed a voice call to my business fax line, which was forward to my Sonic Send-a-Fax line. The call lasted 232 minutes. Sonic reports zero pages received, which was expected. Is the Sonic equipment programed to disconnect when no fax tone is received?

I'm actually not sure if our end terminates the call if no fax tones are heard. It is possible that it just tries really hard to negotiate with a modem on the calling end and the eventual timeout on that is close to 5 minutes.
