I'm not sure how to port forward to get my minecraft server running on my mac. Help?

You can't run a minecraft server from behind a NAT very well so make sure you have a static IP. If you really want to setup port forwarding then try looking on the Minecraft forums. Search for your router type, they have just about every thing posted in there for all kinds of routers.

You don't have to have a static ip to run a Minecraft server but it would make things a lot easier. If you have single line Fusion, you might as well get one since it is free with your service. If you have our Pace modem, make sure to set up a LAN subport for your server so you can use DHCP with all your other devices. Port forwarding is definitely the most important part though. You MIGHT have to configure your local firewall but it may or may not be necessary.
