Webmail inbox on tablet

I am frustrated by the webmail inbox on my Nexus 7 tablet. In SquirrelMail on the tablet or computer, or Webmail on my computer, I can check several e-mails and delete them all at once with a delete button which is visible at the top. In Webmail on my tablet, however, the only way to delete an e-mail is to double-click to bring it up, and then delete it, or tap one e-mail and then "more" at the top, and then scroll down to delete that one e-mail. When I'm traveling, checking in once a day and dealing with a large number of deletable e-mails, this is aggravatingly slow.

It would be wonderful if you could fix this.

Is there a reason why you aren't using a native client on the tablet to access you mail via IMAP? Generally, this is a much better solution than trying to use a touch interface to interact with a html application.

That said, we're aware that the application is less than idea on tablets and touch screens and have committed to funding development of a new responsive interface that should maintain a more consistent look and feel between desktop, tablet and phone use.

It means downloading and installing an email app on the tablet.

They all likely support IMAP as the message access protocol meaning that will be an option you set when you configure the app once it is installed. For assistance with the client configuration you can call support to walk you through it. Good luck.

Aamil, the Nexus 7 will have shipped with an existing mail application that you can configure to check your sonic.net email account. There are also some good alternative android clients like k9, but I would just stick with the built in client unless you find it doesn't suit your needs. If you've never set it up, it will probably launch into a setup wizard when you run it, it's probably called mail, or e-mail.

The server names are listed at the link below, but the important parts are that you are setting up an IMAP client, should use SSL/TLS, the server is called "imap.sonic.net" and for sending, "mail.sonic.net"
