Hi,

I use the Send A Fax service a lot to send to one particular fax number. More than half of the time, the transmission ends in "failed unknown status" ...but the fax is sent and received perfectly five times (because Send A Fax does 5 retries). Sonic support says there is no way to fix this because it's caused by the receiving machine hanging up early. In that case, can Sonic's system be changed such that the user can turn off the 5 retries when the first transmission ends in "failed unknown status?"

Thanks,
Marc

I also experienced same thing. The target machine is PSTN and receives 5 times which wastes stationary. My sincere advice is let Sonic appoint good engineers to fix this instead of giving frivolous reasons.

Thanks,

Sonic: I know you guys read these forums :-) Are you working on this, or at least aware of the issue and thinking about what might be done?
