Hi,
I am having a very difficult time connecting to localhost 8080. I am on an Imac and used binami to d/l wordpress. I got it all set and running. Used the program just fine for one day.

Next day after turning off my computer and restarting it, I keep getting the message:
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:8080.

Here is how I am logging in: http://localhost:8080/wordpress/wp-admin.php

I have been all over the firefox forums and done what was sugggested there. They even say that this problem has been fixed. I tried calling Apple and they suggested I go to my wireless company. I've left messages on the bitnami site and on wp.org forums. Nothing....... no one can help.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thank YOU!
Amy

Try reading this file: https://bitnami.com/stack/wordpress/README.txt
It appears to contain all the information you need. To clarify, Sonic.net does not provide in depth technical support for issues unrelated to our offered services; If you require additional assistance with this [running wordpress and a web server on your own computer] you will need to seek assistance elsewhere.
If you want to create a wordpress blog that is hosted here at sonic and / or tied to a domain name you can do so through the Sonic.net member tools interface here: https://members.sonic.net/websites/addons/wordpress/
Let me know if you have any more questions, thanks!
