Caller ID does not show entire number, nor name

When some people call us, typically with cell phones, we do not see the area code, only the seven digit phone number. No caller ID either. Only the seven digit number.

Are there any settings or things we can do so that we can see the full caller ID & the entire 10 digit phone number?

Are the numbers with missing area codes within your area code? Some phones allow the user to select to see only seven digits when the caller is in the same area code.
