spam from a third party required by sonic for domain registr

Tucows is a scumbag that spammed me incessantly. I chose not to receive their spam many years ago. I have not changed my mind. Directtv, was sued by 39 AG's for 39 states; more than is need for an amendment to our constitution.

It is my money, my choice. I based my choice on the reason(s) I provided. You are not required to agree with me I am not required to agree with you

My domain is still deactivated. After four calls, at least two days and adjusting the contact email address for the domain contact yesterday. I have been a sonic customer for 18 years. This is not a choice I made without consideration of all of these issues.

The transfer has not yet been completed even though I set it in motion this morning at about a quarter to nine, three hours ago.

Tucows has effectively stolen my domain. When I spoke to opensrs they said they could fix it it a second for my provider, but, not for me.

I have to abandon my domain because of Tucows, thanks sonic.

This was posted on stupidhead.org, I have removed all the content on all my sites. I have removed all the hosting on all my sites except stop-spam.org. I can still receive email their for the time being.

Tucows Inc. and Opensrs.net hold my domain hostage

Apparently, Tucows is holding my domain hostage because I dislike them and do not accept any email from them. Tucows Inc., is a domain registrar that is real trash. A long time ago, when I used to go directly to registrars to register my domains, Tucows spammed the heck out of me. I blocked all email from them after moving all my domains to another registrar. Now I am dealing with these ass-clowns again.

I own another website that I recently registered. After a week, Tucows deactivated my domain because they sent an email to me, which is blocked, to verify the domain contact registration. I noticed on this last Saturday and called my provider to see why my domain was not resolving. I spent a few hours talking to a couple of folks and we couldn't figure out why the domain wasn't resolving. I pulled the hosting, changed the Name Servers, reset the DNS. I did a bunch of things.

Nothing I did worked so I called again on Sunday. I was informed that because Tucows sent me a verification that I never received, Tucows are ass-clowns and I have them permanently blocked, Tucows deactivated my domain. Now, the registration fees are paid, the hosting fees are paid and I do not have any relationship of any kind with Tucows.

I set up an email address that used the domain without any DNS. My error. I reset the email contact for the domain to a domain I knew resolved and called my provider. Surprisingly, the individual at my provider was not helpful. I never received the "required" email from Tucows even though the email address in question is unfiltered. Don't know why, don't care.

This morning, March 10, 2014 at 8:40 AM, I initiated the transfer of my domain hosting and registrar to another host and registrar. I figure if the cost of doing business with my current provider is accepting email from Tucows, it is reason enough to discontinue that 18 year business relationship.

I spoke with a very arrogant individual at opensrs.net who led me to believe that they could resolve this if I was my provider. It is always so pleasant to deal with dicks that talk out both sides of their collective mouths. I was simply asking if I clicked on the link in the verification email from Tucows if it would mess up the transfer to the new provider. Before you think I am being mean. his arrogant individual implied he could fix this in mere minutes had I been my provider.

At this point, 1:49 PM, my domain has not yet been transferred to either the new host or the new registrar. ICAAN, Tucows and opensrs.net have truly screwed up the Internet. With all the new domain extensions, domains are worthless for the most part. I can't even get away from Tucows, a spamming registrar.

Mark, ICANN imposes this rule on all registrars: "You must wait 60 days after the initial registration or any previous transfers to initiate a transfer" - http://www.icann.org/en/resources/regis ... older-faqs; I bumped up against this in the past (before I even knew about Sonic.net). I understand your frustration with tucows and Sonic via extension and I do apologize for the hassle. As it stands now I would recommend completing the verification process from the email I/opensrs sent you earlier and then 60 days after the initial registration date initiate the transfer to your new registrar. I am not waiting 60 days. I am transferring the domain now. The domain has be reactivated, yet it still does not work. Tucows is garbage and I am done. Three days of this crap. If I can't transfer the domain I am closing all my accounts as soon as I can help my last client get her site together and I will walk away from the domain and sonic.

I realize the requirement for the 60 day period. I have had how many domains registered with Tucows. They have profited from our relationship and created problems even though I have no relationship with them.
