Some mailing lists are configured such that each message appears "from" the list's address, but others are configured that each message appears to be "from" the person who wrote it.
But Kelsey's pointer is what the OP is seeking. Since all messages distributed by the list have to be sent to the list's submission address, that address can be entered as a "More Spam To" (or "Whitelist To") under More Lists so that any sender's address should be treated as whitelisted.
