Our next step is splicing, and it's a big task. Likely take some months to get it booked and done.
Meanwhile, phase 3 is in engineering now.

In San Francisco - the pilot region is all to the West of 19th. After the pilot is complete, it all depends upon uptake, cost, city permitting, etc.Guest wrote:Oh phooey... I have Sonic Fusion DSL, but I'm at 16th ave and Judah.
Any chance it "might" cross 19th ave??

I am so close but so far a away. I live right a across form the the proposed Sunset pilot, on 19th ave and Lawton. Across the street, right in front of the proposed street Surface box. I suspect all of the house that are on 19th ave are gone to have to wait along awhile to get serves as all of the utility are underground (no phone polls). Dane, Is there a plane to get access to utility that are underground in the future?dane wrote:Here are the details on the proposed Sunset pilot (attached), showing the first coverage area. Note that this is subject to change.jnurthen wrote:Any hints on which portion of the sunset district. A colleague who lives out there was recently complaining about his AT&T access. I tried to persuade him to move to sonic but I think he was sold on the increased speed of Comcast. If fiber is in his future I think I could try again!dane wrote: plus pushing ahead with a pilot in a portion of the Sunset District in San Francisco. What happens next will depend upon all of these factors.
