Hello all,

Updated some WordPress plugins yesterday and out site is now completely down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Site is www.healdsburgcommunitychurch.com

Message is the following:

"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, support@sonic.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

I tried to work with an online support company and they are saying it's a server issue. Latests communication from them is "This is to prove that the problem lies within the host. Not even text files are loading http://www.healdsburgcommunitychurch.com/license.txt which are not part of the WordPress core files."

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

If you disable those wordpress plugins does the site resolve correctly? It might be that the updated plugins require a different version of PHP than is currently running, and if that is indeed the case then you can modify the PHP version in an htaccess file (a brief tutorial on how to set that up - https://wiki.sonic.net/wiki/Php5)

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not able to disable plugins because I have no access to the wordpress login. Do you mean FTP in and delete plugins?

We had the PHP htaccess problem about a year ago and resolved with inerting the code in htaccess file. Downloaded the file off the server and the code is still there.

Any other suggestions?

Just FTPd in and changed the plugins folder name to plugins.hold to see if it would resolve and it did not.
