Are Sonic hosted servers able to use Node.js files for a web server?

No, all our hosting offerings run Apache and we don't offer an environment where users can run their own daemons.

Yes, Apache is still the only webserver we offer in our hosting platforms.

Sonic seems to have dropped support for hosting for the most part. Tools and problems that I have been helped with in the past are now "unsupported"

It's an unfortunate trend and has driven a number pf people I know to look elsewhere. I'm not sure why this decision has been made. Perhaps the powers that be just Sonic to be a broadband delivery company. Who knows.

If I could get fiber to my home this would not be an issue. I'd just run my server from home, but I can only get FTTN so my bandwidth from home to the internet is precious and few.
