Hi:

I have a WordPress installation that I would like to use Updraft Plus plugin on for backups.

Looks like I need to set up a Crob Job to tickle the website daily due to limited visits to avoid getting error messages from Updraft.

What should I be using for the URL for the cron command line? PS, I am using the EasyCron plugin for this.

Thanks, Ned

Ned,

From what I could find, setting up a once-per-day job to hit http://example.com/wp-cron.php should be enough to make sure the Updraft backups are performed.

Hi Joe:

Thanks for the suggestion.

I had received an error previously from EasyCron, but the URL I had used was mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-cron.php because the installation lives in that subdirectory. Hope it works this time!

Hi Joe:

I have EasyCron up and working with a daily hit, but am still seeing the same message in my Uodraft admin:

Warning: Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for;

It then offers a reference to employ EasyCron. And the next scheduled backup was skipped over.

I had a similar situation with another host, who apparently had something disabled disabled on their end -- when corrected, we have never had a problem since.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Ned
