Hello,

I'm currently hosting a forum on Sonic, and the software vendor is now requiring that I run at least PHP 5.6 or PHP to install updates and patches. Is Sonic planning to update PHP on the web servers in the near future? I love the service, and I'd like to remain on Sonic if possible with regards to my forum.

Many thanks!

I would also like to hear the answer to this. In April 2016, we were told the php version would be updated "this year." We are hosting a WordPress site, and while our very simple site runs fine (so far) on older versions of php and MySql, according to the WordPress Requirements page at https://wordpress.org/about/requirements:
"these versions have reached official End Of Life and as such may expose your site to security vulnerabilities" (emphasis theirs)

You can see why we would be concerned, right?
