WordPress Issues Site Won't Load When I Change Hosting Dir

I am hoping someone can help me with a WordPress issue I'm having.

I recently installed WordPress in a sub-directory in the main root folder of my current site.

The WordPress site is working perfectly in this directory.

My issue is this. When I go to change the hosting directory for my site and point it to this new folder the WordPress site goes down. It will not load.

Before making this change I changed the Site Address URL in my WordPress settings to my domain URL.

Can you give me some sort of clue as to what step I may be missing?

I do not see a wordpress install in your web directory; perhaps your site is under a different user than the (main user for) the mailbox you posted as?

Hello. I solved my issue. I needed to go in to the database and remove the reference to the old directory. Thanks for looking in to this for me!
