VPN - can I discover my remote's ip addr?

Hi,
I've been using sonic's openvpn to connect to my office desktop.
To do this I...
- lauch openvpn on my office desktop
- record the ip addr of the office desktop
- launch openvpn on my home computer
- connect to remote desktop via ip addr
My issue with this is that my ip addr changes frequently so if I forget to
record it i am out of luck.
Is there a way to discover the address of my remote machine?
Both home and office machines are Windows PCs.
