I received an email a couple months ago offering me a choice of some nice gifts if I referred a friend to Sonic.
I referred a friend and heard nothing for WEEKS. Suddenly I get in the mail Friday night a Sling box. This “Gift” is free for a week then I have to pay for a subscription.
So in other words, Sonic makes a deal with Sling where they get a cut of money if they sell Sling subscriptions.
This is their generous “gift” to honest people who took them up on their offer to give them a nice gift for referring friends.
I AM OUTRAGED.
I expected this kind of underhanded slimy trick from ATT and/or Comcast but not from Sonic.
I put these thought on my Nextdoor app and trust
me, other people are outraged too.
If I get a chance to get a better company than Sonic I will leave. This really shows they are not the new good guys in the block as they purport to be.
Here is the offer:
((THANK YOU!
We're thankful for our Sonic members all year-round, but we're especially grateful to have your support as the year draws to a close, and we look to the future. We wish the best to you and yours this holiday season. Thank you so much for your support of Sonic, and your amazing response to our limited time referral program, referring all your zany uncles, local artists, and giggly grandmas. Now for some very important news:
This is officially your final reminder to take advantage of our Referral Program opportunity!
We're in the homestretch now, and the clock is ticking. Thanks to you, tons of your friends, family, and neighbors now have access to the fast, affordable, and fair internet connectivity they deserve. There's still time to recommend Sonic to a friend (or two or three or ten) and win some awesome prizes:
ONE Referral: AirTV Player
TWO Referrals: DVR Hard Drive to go with your new TV.
EVERY Referral: Get entered to win Sonic's first ever residential 10Gbps service!))
