I was wondering if anyone is using a switch to connect to the ONT and what kind are you guys using. I recently bought a Nighthawk X4, but I could not connect it directly to the ONT because there seems to be some kind of problem, but if I connect the Pace to the ONT and connect the Nighthawk X4 to the Pace, it seems to work fine.

Any details you can add on the issue with the Nighthawk connected to the ONT?

Are you going through the Netgear setup on routerlogin.net and it's suggesting to use access point mode instead of router mode? If that's the case make sure to select router mode.

It's not recommended to connect a switch directly to the Sonic optical network terminal (ONT). It will allocate a few IPs, but with more devices you will quickly run out, and you will also have no firewall. Instead, connect all devices behind the Sonic router, including switches, WiFi extenders or mesh systems, etc.
