Several of my long-time clients; Panasonic, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bro's are now rejecting aliased email addresses from their systems. This is due to the exploits that have caused them great losses over the past two years, these have been well documented. I have been asked to use an email identity from another ISP because they do not recognize emails with johnherb@lds1.sonic.net (W/E) and their security is reporting john@herb.com (example) as the valid address so it gets kicked without any response.

The system of using aliases is beginning to show age and inefficiencies, when I worked as a sub-contractor on an ad for Apple
I was asked to use another address because of the alias problem chewing on their security tags. I've had to move three domains in 2 years from Sonic because of this, I like to use local services but not when it deprecates my revenue stream or worse, makes me look like a flake who has insecure written on his forehead. These circumstances have been developing since STUXnet and more recently the Sony compromise and hey who could forget John Podesta's password: "p@ssw0rd"

There are all kinds of exploits and insecurities do we need to keep this system in light of this?

Which email client are you using and do you have it setup with the correct email address for sending (not authenticating)? On a side note, you should probably setup spf for that domain. You can find out more about spf here.
