does sonic work with gmail and can i have sonic installed while i'm still using comcast?

im planning to quit comcast soon but can i have sonic installed while i still have comcast?

Yes, and yes. There's no reason that you can't have Sonic installed while you're still using Comcast. You'll have to choose which is active at any given time, but that's about it.

As for gmail, you can access gmail from any ISP account.

Slight correction, you can have Comcast and Sonic active at the same time in most cases! Much more rare to not be able to have both.

Very true, Mike. In fact, I have Comcast (residential) as my primary connection with a Sonic FTTN connection for my mail/web server. They're both on the local LAN, but only my VPN router (on Comcast) does DHCP. The server is manually configured to point to the Sonic router for its gateway.

I was just trying to keep it simple for explanation purposes (KISS).
