How do you show only new topics/posts?
Imagine if trn showed you all newsgroups and all articles every time you ran it.

When you are logged in, you should see 'View unread posts' just above the forums. You could bookmark that link.

And when it shows you the thread containing a new/unread post, you start reading the entire thread and scrolling down until where you think it left off last time you read it? Is that the concept?

What's the difference b/w read new posts and unread posts?

In the list of threads, where it says "last post" on the right, there's a little icon which will bring you right to the unread post.
