Kudos for Dane fighting to stop this, though!

As a sonic customer and a concerned citizen, I'd like to thank you for fighting this.

It's important that the government's power to spy on everyone be held in check as it becomes easier to do in the electronic age.

It's a sad day to think that something like this is even conceivable.

Do you have a link for the KTVU story Mike?

I didn't see a video link but here is KTVU's AP story:

The WSJ story also made it to dslreports.com:

This story on blogs.wsj.com is pretty nice:

Personally I would like to thank you all for your hard work.

I don't think it was archived as a video, Augie. I just looked, and I couldn't find anything.

The anchor relayed the story, and there was no reporter in the field.

Basically, the anchor explained that both Google and Sonic.net, "a California Internet provider," had fought court orders seeking information about Jacob Appelbaum, both had lost, and the court orders were related to the WikiLeaks investigation. The story lasted about 10-12 seconds.

Thank you very much for taking a stand and trying, Sonic.net
