Changes made using Outlook don't sync with webmail server

Made changes using Microsoft Outlook (new folders, move files, etc) don't get reflected on webmail account.

How do I get the changes I made pushed to the webmail server so I can access them remotely from other devices?

Tech support tells me this is a common problem and they don't have an answer.....

How are you accessing the mail? pop3 or IMAP?

Make sure you are in connected mode.
Manually perform "send/receive" operation in outlook.

Thanks,

I am able to send and receive emails so I am definitely connected.

I need to check if I'm using pop3 or IMAP.

I don't have a problem using eM Client to do the same thing, only using Outlook.

When I create a new folder in outlook the folder doesn't show up in the outlook IMAP folder list (subscribed or unsubscribed).

Not sure what I'm doing wrong....

Maybe there is a way in outlook to only refresh one folder (inbox without contained folders) so ignores the rest
