I have a TP-Link Deco AX5700. Was trying to get the Open VPN to work through PPTP, but I don't believe it's been successful. Has anyone tried and made a VPN setup through a router for Open VPN?

OpenVPN and PPTP are completely different protocols, used for completely different use cases. This will not work.
Is it a resold line or a sonic fiber line?
If on sonic fiber, using the vpn to sonic is not terribly useful.
If you are setting up your openvpn to allow you to connect to your local net from elsewhere it makes more sense.
Also note many people have reported slowness on vpn, especially if you try to saturate the fiber link.
