We ended up delaying this indefinitely, as it turned out. We discovered that our testing had been flawed leading us to believe that other major email providers had already disabled TLS 1.0 and that we were in good company moving forward with enforcing it on our end as well. Impacted customers were supposed to have received direct communication informing of this decision.
It will happen eventually as support for the legacy protocols are removed from modern server operating systems.
