Interesting discussion of the inequities of education in households with multiple students during COVID that cannot afford expensive service. I think this highlights a much bigger issue in this country and other regions in the world. Years ago in media studies we talked about "information peasants"... as in those who cannot afford access and are excluded from all the internet (or other forms of media) have to offer society.

As always, Net Neutrality is a crucial first step.

Lots of good points in this article. In particular, 3Mbps upload is just enough for one or two Zoom sessions, and with multiple children in a household plus parents working from home, that’s just inadequate. The result is a disengaged student. Zoom school is bad enough without slow service.
