Uploading large files

Now that I have my Gigabit internet, what's the most efficient way of uploading large video files?

It depends on where you would like to upload the video files. If you were to put a video on YouTube for example they have their own uploading system on their website. If you wanted to upload video or other file types to a server where you can access them anytime then you will need to create an FTP server. There are also other cloud based services like One Drive, drop box and iCloud that allow uploading files to their storage servers. Hope this helps.
