We're pleased to announce that we're ready for users to test our new, and long overdue, webmail application. It features a modern interface that uses ajax and html5 and supports features like drag-and-drop and has a robust plugin system that allows us to extend its functionality.

Address books from our old clients will be automatically migrated the first time you log in.

It's available at https://webmail-beta.sonic.net

Please let us know if you have any questions of feedback.

Thanks!

First bit of feedback: Doesn't display messages at all from the stock Android ICS browser. Love it on the Desktop though! Searches are FAST!

Double-tapping on a message just does the resize business on my Android (using the stock browser), but the preview pane works fine for me. Perhaps it's something to do with the individual message's encoding?

Try long pressing then open instead of double-tapping.

I was able to scrape up a few sample messages where it did and did not display on my phone and William sacrificed an unspotted lamb.

So that's why my ankle has been sore. Next time, use a goat.

Does that mean you are deleting *squirrelmail* too? <--------------

That would be *terrible*! Your new webmail is far too fancy and useless for my simple purposes of getting and sending mail. My current login is:

Personally, we liked the old method just fine! Why is it necessary to mess with what works?

I don't like the fact that there are scroll bars in 1024x768 resolution.
I was perfectly happy and overjoyed to have squirrel mail.
Back to shell to run pine or will the old legacy stuff remain in place because they work?
