Is the TV bundle with Dish Network no longer available?

Hello!

That is correct. We are no longer offering Dish TV services any longer.

Best Wishes!

So sum up please, what's offered through Sonic now, what does it cost, what does it get us?

I'm ticked to have to pay for television service I don't want just to see Congressional hearings.
Democracy in action in the free market, I guess, we get the best government we can afford to pay to watch.
Hm?
You must log in with your television provider in order to view the C-SPAN Live Streams.

Currently we offer Internet+Home Phone services and we do not provide any TV options. However with the internet you can find many different streaming services that might have what you need. There are things like Sling TV that should provide some local channels and services like amazon prime and Hulu have the ability to add other broadcasting networks.

As for the cost that would depend on what is available in your area. You can check here: https://www.sonic.com/availability

If you have any further questions please let us know!

Thank you!

This is an interesting one. C-SPAN was created by the Cable industry, and as far as I know remains only available via Pay-TV services. And yes, for democracy's sake, that makes no sense!

OK. We have Sonic fiber now.

I'd appreciate recommendations from anyone with experience getting useful information from any of the streamng suppliers.

I'm not looking for "entertainment" -- life is too short for most of that.

You might consider YouTubeTV, or Hulu with Live TV. I've had good success with them.

Call it the "OTTS" forum, for "Over the top services"?

This forum has useful information about over-the-top services, but it's just called "TV". Can we change it to "Over the Top" or "OTSS" or something more relevant?

BTW, regarding that I have both Hulu with the pay tv option, as well as youtube.tv (their for-pay "cable service"). I'm really upset that they are hanging on to CSPAN, but important things are usually on youtube.COM (different than youtube.TV!).

If I'm not mistaken.

The terminology that I’ve heard used has been as follows:

Over-the-top TV, or OTT-TV, or virtual multichannel video programming distributor (V-MVPD). This comes from the cable platform - cable systems are called MVPDs. I like the term “Internet TV”, a pretty friendly no-acronym way to say it clearly.

I stand educated and corrected. :)
