While we are not publishing the blocking list, here are just a few of the Caller ID displays that we hope you won't see again:

LOWER INTEREST
CREDIT PROTECTO
LOWER BILL
CARD SERVICES (there are also legitimate forms of this one.)
TOLL FREE CALL
WINNER
This is a great new feature!

Is there a way to report other candidates that still get through?

From the wiki: "A blocked calling party will receive a standard "We're sorry, the number cannot be completed as dialed" error message."

Excellent! With tri-tone too?

Don't like unnecessary changes in service turned on by default. Is this also why the email was "mandatory?"

Very strongly prefer that new options be opt-in, along with announcements about them.

I'm wondering if Charity Fundraisers and Political Fundraising groups (emily's list, etc) are considered telemarketing for this purpose, and are therefore automatically blocked?

Posting an example of how to list numbers would be very helpful. Is there limit to how many numbers can be listed?

So some customers would rather not have to turn on said features, some customers would rather not turn off said features. No way to please everyone.

I do appreciate the effort, just thinking about how quiet it used to be back when I had AT&T, then for whatever reason when I left them I got inundated with telemarketer calls most of which didn't even have a computer voice on the other line and I've been on the DNC list since it was created. Searching for solutions there were no real solutions out there, the best that you could get would be maybe something that blocks a hundred numbers, but apparently they still ring through because they need to first be registered by caller ID. The fact this does it automatically makes my heart swoon.

Now here's hoping Sonic doesn't get sued by telemarketers for blocking their "free speech".

Maybe I missed it, but is there a way to create my own caller block list? If not, this would be terrific. Just let me press one or two of the phone buttons to add an incoming call to my blocking list.

In this case, default to "on" results in an invisible loss of service, i.e., the ability to receive phone calls from certain numbers. To me, that's the wrong default.

No reason sonic couldn't add a user preference (opt-in, of course) to "enable all new features by default as they are implemented."
