I have regular pots phone service in my house reaching 4 jacks, and I have sonic fiber. I'd like to attach the RG's single phone jack to my system. Other than disconnecting the old service and wires, is there anything I should know about attaching the Sonic phone service to my existing jacks?

Nope, it's pretty easy. Just unplug or un-wire the prior POTS service at the MPOE or wiring location, and feed that from the Sonic optical network terminal's RJ11 voice output.

Just bear in mind that the Adtran 411 ONT is rated for a maximum REN of 3.0, whereas 5.0 is the standard maximum REN for POTS.

If I can just plug my existing POTS phone into the Adtran 411's RJ11 port, why does Fusion Fiber require a $6.50/month ATA rental?

There is no ATA rental with the Sonic Gigabit Fiber service. The ATA rental is only for service over AT&T's transport, which does not use the Adtran 411.
