Port existing Fusion number

I am a Fusion subscriber, and I want to port my phone number away to my cell phone. What should I expect to occur when the phone number is ported away?

Will my Internet service be interrupted, and is there anything I can do to prevent the interruption, or at least minimize downtime?

Or will I simply be assigned a new phone number?

I have Bonded Fusion. I would like to port one of the phone numbers to a fax service and replace it with a specific other number at the same exchange. How can I do that?
