First of all I don't believe I was one of the affected customers for the Fusion Fiber SF outage back in Dec 1. https://sonicstatus.com/2017/12/01/fusi ... francisco/

There was a heads up for an intrusive maintenance from Dec 5th to 7th For Fusion Fiber SF. https://sonicstatus.com/2017/12/01/san- ... tenance-3/ On the 6th and 7th I noticed during the maintenance window I did lose internet for a few minutes and it came back. What I didn't know was any incoming voice calls would go directly to a busy line and any calls out will ring indefinitely. I did not know of this issue until 20 minutes ago when a family member attempted to call home. A manual power cycle of the ONT resolves the problem.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time this happened I do not recall if it was a maintenance or an outage. But in both cases voice was dead for a few days until we found out from a family member attempting to call and the ONT needed to be power cycled.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does Sonic.net heard of this happening before?

The maintenance is something we can't avoid, but I do want to avoid something like this happening again since we may not know for a few days and we miss an important call or because where the ONT was installed, if myself or another family member is able-bodied is not at home to climb up a small ladder to power cycle the ONT may further delay getting voice working again for a few hours.
